Polymarket, the world’s largest prediction market, has set an innovative partnership with the Golden Globes to become the exclusive prediction market partner of the annual awards show.
The pact promises to up the ante on the Globes outcomes for users of Polymarket, which has skyrocketed since its launch in 2020 and become a key source of tapping into public sentiment on topics ranging from politics and elections to sports to pop culture trends. The partnership with the Globes will bring real-time insights into awards outcomes across the Golden Globes’ live events, based on the sentiments of millions of users around the world.
“The Golden Globes have long been a place where audiences debate and predict what will happen next,” said Shayne Coplan, founder and CEO of Polymarket. “Polymarket reflects those expectations through markets spanning entertainment and culture, and this partnership brings that perspective directly into one of awards season’s biggest moments. By pairing cultural debate with market-based probabilities, we’re giving fans a new, more interactive way to follow the show as it unfolds.”
As part of the partnership, Polymarket will provide integrated branding and real-time stats and percentage-based predictions on the Globes competition at the official 2026 Golden Globes viewing party. The pact also calls for digital integration of Polymarket modules during the span of the Globes into key brands across PMC, which is the parent company of the Globes and of Variety.
“Our partnership with Polymarket unlocks a groundbreaking new frontier, redefining how audiences engage with and connect to the content they love,” said Craig Perreault, President, Penske Media Corporation. “Deepening the connection between fans and their favorite films, shows, and actors strengthens the entertainment industry and highlights the award-winning content celebrated at the Golden Globes.”
Polymarket operates similar to fantasy sports services in allowing users to make predictions and win cash prizes on an odds basis if their predictions are correct. Polymarket blends blockchain technology with fan communities in a format that has drawn users around the world and made the company an influence player in business, politics and pop culture.
The 2026 Golden Globes will air live on Sunday from 8-11 p.m. ET on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S., now with Polymarket insights featured across the broader Golden Globes ecosystem. Nikki Glaser returns to host for the second year in a row.
