Catching them all is so dated. Now you've got to build them all. On Monday, Lego announced its first collection of Pokemon sets, which let builders recreate their favorite pocket monsters and display them proudly. They'll be out on Feb. 26, with preorders opening on Jan. 12.
While Pokémon may be pretty small, these sets are certainly not. These are display pieces, rather than smaller models meant for play. Besides, if we're being honest, playing with and dropping a 2,000-piece Pikachu Lego build sounds like a nightmare — so many tiny yellow bricks scattered all over the floor.
While there are only three primary sets, they consist of five total Pokémon for this first wave of releases. The smallest set will let you build your own Eevee. The Pikachu set is in the middle of the pack and includes a buildable Pokéball for its display. If you're really looking to spend some money, though, the final set is a big one. Coming in at 6,838 pieces, and a whopping $649.99, this set sees you building a trio of Kanto Pokémon evolutions in Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.
Take a look at the sets below.

If you snag the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set before March 3, you'll also get a bonus build of the Kanto Region Badge Collection in a display box. The build includes all eight Kanto region badges, and it has 312 pieces.
If you're a Lego Insider, there's also a micro-build you can trade points for. Beginning Feb. 27, until stock runs out, you can trade 2,500 Insider Rewards points for a Mini Pokémon Center build.
Interestingly, though it was announced just last week, there is no Smart Play technology involved in these new sets. Smart Play will still be first seen in the upcoming Star Wars sets in March.
