Netflix has unveiled a new teaser for One Piece Season 2, subtitled Into the Grand Line, which introduces a new cast of villains putting a damper on Monkey D. Luffy’s (Iñaki Godoy) quest.
The second installment of the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s record-breaking manga series will follow the dangerous secret society of assassins known as the Baroque Works, featuring: Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Lera Abova as Miss All-Sunday, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9 and Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek. A previous first-look, released Christmas Day, introduced Tony Tony Chopper.
Premiering March 10, the streamer’s high-seas adventure returns with fiercer adversaries as Luffy continues his quest to find the fabled treasure known as the One Piece in his bid to become King of the Pirates. As the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea filled with peril and wonder — they encounter bizarre islands and new enemies.
Upon its debut in 2023, One Piece — which has already been renewed for a third season — spent eight weeks atop Netflix’s Global Top 10, reaching No. 1 in over 75 countries and making history as the first Netflix English-language series to debut in the top spot in Japan. It received 11 nominations at the Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Young Teen Series.
The show is created in partnership with Shueisha and is produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner). Matt Owens & Joe Tracz are the co-showrunners, writers and EPs for Season 2, while the latter joins with Ian Stokes to fulfill those duties for Season 3.
