Golden Globes 2026: How Heated Rivalry’s Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie Aced Their Chemistry
Nikki Glaser has that classic thing that you like.
Ahead of hosting the Golden Globes 2026, the comedian shared how Taylor Swift is going to play a role in her monologue during the 83rd annual ceremony.
"I just want to have fun," Nikki told E! News’ Zuri Hall on the red carpet outside the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. "I literally was having fun last time. I was surprisingly present. You don’t know until it happens. I hope that happens for me tonight when I walk out on stage—to a Taylor Swift song by the way."
Indeed, the host for the evening teased it will likely be one of Taylor's 1989 hits, adding, "I never go out of style is all I’ll say."
"I’m so excited about it," she added. "It gives me this most confidence to strut out there to that song."
Luckily, the 41-year-old has gotten over the initial jitters from hosting the ceremony last year, and she's feeling good about this evening's vibe.
"I'm sensing a really cool comedy show vibe," she explained. "That's what you want." (For everyone's vibe on the Golden Globes red carpet, see here.)
Indeed, the comedian—who shot to fame in 2024 following her viral roast of Tom Brady—previously admitted she was less at ease before the show last year, as she was still getting used to being around A-listers.
“I don’t run into these people a lot,” Nikki explained of the 2025 nominees to E! News last year, which included Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore and Denzel Washington. “So, I'm standing up there and it's blowing my mind that Angelina Jolie has to listen to me talk for nine minutes."
And while her success at the 2025 ceremony appeared effortless, the FBoy Island alum admitted that she ran through the entire show almost 100 times to get it right.
“We've run through this thing 93 this will be my 94th time telling some version of this,” she explained. “It's still changing, even from the last time I told it, 'til now. So, we're constantly making edits, trying to top jokes, trying to just strike the right note and tone for the evening.”
This year, Nikki already made a few flubs—even before hitting the Beverly Hilton stage. During one run through, she realized Julia Roberts is too beloved to make the subject of any teasing, noting that a poke was poorly received when she rehearsed it at a Hollywood comedy club.

“You have to be very delicate about making jokes that aren't going to ruin anyone's night,” she explained during an appearance on CBS Mornings Jan. 6. “But you also want to give the people at home something to laugh at, and you want to poke fun at the people that they're dying for you to make fun of. People at home want you to make fun of the A-listers.”
