Nikki Glaser Opens Golden Globes With Jabs At Justice Department, The Epstein List And “See B.S. News”

Nikki Glaser began her second consecutive stint as host of the Golden Globes by putting the entire affair in perspective: The event was, she said mockingly, “without a doubt, the most important thing that’s happening in the world right now. So let’s get down to business.”

And with that, she took jabs at the Warner Bros deal, the Justice Department and CBS News before pivoting to the Globes monologue traditional turf: gently snarking about the A-listers in attendance.

“I cannot believe the amount of star power we have in this room tonight, it’s insane,” she said. “There’s so many A-listers. And by A listers, I do mean people who are on a list that has been heavily redacted. Yes, the Golden Globe for Best Editing goes to the Justice Department. Congratulations.”

Glasser then hit CBS News for winning the award for “most editing.”

“Yes,” said, “CBS News, America’s newest place to see B.S. news.”

From there it was off to the stars.
