Paramount promised that they’d up their annual slate to 15 movies in 2026, and gradually, they’re getting there as Johnny Knoxville announced on Instagram a new Jackass movie set for a June 26 release. No further details were unveiled, but as always expect the most zany and dangerous and death defying stunts from the Jackass gang.
“Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th.🎉❤️🎉 More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!!” posted Knoxville.
Though born on MTV as a reality series in October 2000, Jackass segued to the big screen back in 2002 and has stayed alive ever since across four movies and a comedy fiction spinoff (Jackass Presents…), 2013’s Bad Grandpa which starred Knoxville. The last movie released in 2022, Jackass Forever, opened to a great $23.1M, and finaled at $57.7M domestic and north of $80M worldwide. The four core Jackass movies combined have minted more than $416M around the globe.
In the ComScore system, Paramount’s number of titles rise to ten for 2026, the first of which opens this Friday, the 18Hz horror chimp horror movie, Primate.
