Millie Bobby Brown has now opened up about her character Eleven's fate in the Stranger Things series finale.
Brown told Tudum that Eleven staying behind and sacrificing herself was "beautiful and cathartic," especially because it means she's no longer suffering or in pain. The finale left some things open-ended, including whether Eleven is truly dead. Brown loves the ending when Mike theorizes about Eleven still being alive because it shows that "everything has a purpose, and everything is there for a reason."
