Lizzie Cundy is best known for her love of a celebrity party, cosmetic tweaks and giving her no-nonsense opinions on the Jeremy Vine show.

And her mother Gloria Miller couldn't be more different to her showbiz loving daughter when it comes to the company she keeps.

Gloria is friends with Queen Camilla and lives in swanky Sandringham in Norfolk.

Mother-of-two Lizzie, 57, who was previously married to footballer Jason Cundy, shared a picture of her youthful looking mum as she turned 91 on Tuesday.

She wrote: 'Happy birthday to the strongest woman I know. My dear mother, Gloria.'

Lizzie paid tribute to her mother - who was a senior manager for the fashion house Jaeger and a fashion model - as she turned 91 on Tuesday

Gloria has a busy social calendar and Lizzie told Daily Mail her mother is a 'chip off the old block' and 'likes to enjoy a tipple every day'.

Her mother is also active on the dating scene following the sad death of Lizzie's father, Derek.

Lizzie said that when she grew up, her house was always full of interesting people such as the world famous photographer David Bailey and she even got to go shopping with her idol, Sharon Stone, who she says was 'very nice.'

Her mother was senior manager for the fashion house Jaeger and a fashion model who was married to Derek Miller, an art director at the Saatchi advertising agency.

Derek would often feature Lizzie in his ad campaigns, leading her to get a taste of fame early on in life.

Lizzie's upbringing was a very strict Catholic one - she was brought up by nuns - and she said her father was a 'real disciplinarian.'

So much so, that Lizzie was forced to lie when she was growing up in order to have a boyfriend.

During a past interview on This Morning, Lizzie said; '[My father] didn’t really want me having a boyfriend, let alone a boyfriend to stay.

Former WAG Lizzie, who was married to Chelsea's Jason Cundy - said her mother stopped her on the way to the altar after being left so concerned she was tying the knot with a footballer

'I remember growing up as a teenager having to be very very sneaky. Having to lie all the time.

'I once got a boyfriend in and then my dad heard something from upstairs and I had to shove him in the airing cupboard until my dad went to work.'

'My other boyfriend that I had. My father came home from work early and he had to jump out the bathroom window.'

Lizzie was married to Chelsea star Jason Cundy from 1994 to 2012.

She previously told Daily Mail how she was taken to a pub in her wedding dress on route to the lavish ceremony and given the option to call the big day off.

Lizzie said her mother stopped her on the way to the altar after being left so concerned she was tying the knot with a footballer.

Despite her parents 'loving' Jason, they knew little about the footballing world, beyond tabloid tales.

She said: 'My mum hoped I'd be marrying a doctor or a lawyer, like her friend's daughters and I was marrying a footballer'.

Lizzie's upbringing was a very strict Catholic one - she was brought up by nuns - and she said her father Derek was a 'real disciplinarian.'

'Even as my dad was in the car taking me to the wedding, [my mum phoned and said] "pull over and just tell her it doesn't matter, she has to be doing the right thing"'.

Laughing at the memory Lizzie recalled how she, in her ivory gown complete with veil and tiara, along with her father, traipsed into the Wimbledon pub for a heart to heart, leaving onlookers stunned.

Sitting down with a gin and tonic, her late dad Derek said: 'Lizzie you don't have to do this, you really don't, it's one of the biggest decisions of your life and we love you'.

Looking back, Lizzie said: 'My mum was a force to be reckoned with, and still is, and I wasn't angry, they were just concerned and I just thought they really loved me and wanted me to make the right choice'.

She explained how her mum was worried about the 'troubled life' her daughter was marrying into: 'All she'd seen from the George Best days was heartache and pain,'

'No stability, moving about, which in fact she was totally correct about, but I have no regrets because I have two beautiful sons'.
