Oh yeah, this one’s gonna get weird. Welcome to Marvel Rivals, Deadpool! Make yourself at home. Oh, you already have.
Everyone’s favorite “Merc with a Mouth” officially joins the roster for season six of Marvel Rivals on Jan. 16, and NetEase Games has begun to pull back the curtain on what all can be expected from the latest iteration of the hero shooter.
Here’s a peek at what’s coming in the Marvel Rivals season 6 patch notes.
Marvel Rivals season 6 patch notes
New hero: Deadpool
Screenshot by DestructoidOne of Marvel’s most popular heroes of late finally joins the roster as the game’s first three-in-one character. Deadpool uses his dual pistols and dual katanas to deal damage as a Duelist, a unicorn plushie to defend allies as a Vanguard, and he can also play as a Strategist to use his pistols and swords to heal teammates.
You can choose which role to play Deadpool as at any given time in-game, but only one Deadpool is available on each team. His Ultimate sounds special, too, as he will have to “rank up” to earn it, and there seems to be an element of randomness to what it does. Yeah, this is definitely Deadpool.
Coming soon: Elsa Bloodstone

New map: Museum of Contemplation
The Collector’s Museum is a new location for the new Convoy map in Marvel Rivals, launching later after the season launch in a new update coming on Jan. 29.
