Gwen Stacy comes back in a returning Spider-Man project, and the character dons a superhero costume. Peter Parker has had many love interests in Marvel Comics and in adaptations, with Gwen easily being one of his most iconic, second only to Mary Jane Watson. Live-action Spider-Man movies made the most of that relationship with Emma Stone in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise.

Stone's Gwen and Andrew Garfield's Peter had the best chemistry of a live-action Spidey film. That said, Spider-Man's animated series have also featured Gwen, with the beloved The Spectacular Spider-Man touching on that romance. Gwen has also become a superhero in multiverse comics and adaptations, and that is the version that appears in a 2025 Marvel release.

Marvel Has Revealed What Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 4's Gwen Stacy Looks Like

Ghost, Spider-Man, and Spin jumping in the air in the animated Disney series Spidey and His Amazing Friends

With 2026 being a big year for Spider-Man, as multiple movies and TV shows starring the character are on the way, one of those gives the hero a duo to help him. Spidey and his Amazing Friends has released four seasons so far, with the animated series being aimed at younger audiences. Still, it is an easy watch for families, with many Marvel characters involved.

The remaining episodes of Spidey and his Amazing Friends season 4 are being released in 2026.

The animated Spider-Man series focuses on a main trio that consists of Peter Parker as Spider-Man, Miles Morales as Spin, and Gwen Stacy as Ghost Spider. That is the same title that the character is known for in the comics, different from the popular Spider-Verse movie franchise, which has made Spider-Gwen her most well-known superhero moniker.

The Spider-Woman version of Gwen is the one that appears in Spidey and his Amazing Friends, rather than the powerless romantic interest that she originally was in the comics. Gwen's suit in the Spider-Man series is similar to her Marvel Comics Ghost-Spider costume, with a purple and white color scheme and a striking hoodie. However, her neon blue spider symbol is new.

How Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 4's Gwen Stacy Compares To Other Versions Of The Marvel Hero?

 Across the Spider-Verse

As mentioned before, the blue spider symbol on her chest is the main difference between Spidey and his Amazing Friends' Ghost-Spider design and that of Hailee Steinfeld's Gwen Stacy from the Spider-Verse movies. When she is in street clothes, Spidey's version of Gwen sports blonde hair that becomes a vibrant pink at the ends.

That makes her strikingly different from Emma Stone's live-action version of Gwen Stacy. Additionally, The Amazing Spider-Man franchise did not give Gwen powers. That said, like in Spidey and his Amazing Friends, Stone's Gwen did wear the character's iconic headband from the comics. The rest of the Spider-Man series' season 4 airs in 2026, with season 5 also on the way.
