Khloe Kardashian Addresses Tristan Thompson Reconciliation Rumors
Theo Thompson is quite the little explorer.
In fact, Tristan Thompson and Maralee Nichols' 4-year-old son—who was at the center of a 2021 paternity battle, prompting the NBA star to publicly apologize to then-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian once a DNA test confirmed he fathered the child—recently went on a short trip to San Diego with his mom.
Not only did he hit the beach, but Theo also got to visit numerous tourist hotspots around the California city, including the San Diego Zoo, The New Children's Museum, Verbatim Books and The Lafayette Hotel & Club.
One of Maralee's Instagram photos showed the mother-son duo checking out a flamingo exhibit, while Theo was seen enjoying a hot drink from the comforts of his hotel bed.
The fitness model captioned the snapshots Jan. 13, "Weekend Adventures."
And since her legal drama with Tristan—also dad to son Prince Thompson, 9, with ex Jordan Craig as well as kids True Thompson, 7, and Tatum Thompson, 3, with Khloe—Maralee has been keeping a low profile.
"Instead of focusing on any negativity, I am choosing to embrace being a mother and doing the best I can for my son," she told E! News in a 2021 statement. "I do not want any further media attention, nor do I want a romantic relationship with Tristan. My goal is to raise our son in a safe, healthy, loving and private environment."

Likewise, Khloe did not want to move forward romantically with Tristan following the paternity bombshell. The pair broke up shortly after Maralee's lawsuit against Tristan, who eventually agreed to cover her pregnancy expenses and Theo's child support.
“It’s humiliating," Khloe said of the ordeal in a 2022 episode of The Kardashians. "Everything is an act of betrayal. Everything is a lie. Everything is manipulation. It's deceit."
She continued, "Did Tristan have every opportunity to tell me? Yes. Was Tristan going to tell me if there wasn't a baby involved? Absolutely not, and that shows a lot about his character. The entire thing is despicable."

Though Khloe eventually forgave Tristan for his infidelity, she drew the line at a romantic reconciliation and only opted to keep a co-parenting relationship with the Cleveland Cavaliers alum.
"People are always like, ‘How do you let Tristan back in?’" the Good American founder said during a November episode of her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast. “And I’m like, ‘Well, Tristan is not back in.’ He’s just the father of my kids, so he’s going to be around his kids and I’m really grateful that he is.”
She added, “I love that he has a great relationship with his kids. I think that’s a beautiful blessing and I’m never going to get in the way of that."

Child No. 1: Son Prince Thompson
In December 2016, Tristan welcomed his first child. His ex, Jordan Craig, gave birth to a son, Prince Oliver Thompson.
Child No. 2: Daughter True Thompson
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan's first child was born in April 2018 in Cleveland, when he was a player for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Khloe gave birth on the heels of an alleged cheating scandal surrounding the NBA star and a year and a half after the two went public with their relationship.
Over the next few years, Khloe and Tristan would weather more ups and downs in their relationship as they continued to co-parent True.

Child No. 3: Son Theo
In December 2021, it was brought to light that Maralee Nichols had sued Tristan the previous June for pregnancy and birth expenses following a sexual encounter on his 30th birthday the previous March. She stated in her filing that she is pregnant with a baby boy and that Tristan is the father.
In his own filing, Tristan confirmed the two were intimate around the time in question and requested a paternity test. Maralee gave birth to the child, Theo, in December, and said in a statement to E! News that she had met the NBA star in 2020 and that he had told her "he was single and co-parenting."
In January 2022, Tristan announced on Instagram that "paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols," and added, "Khloe, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you."
In his statement, Tristan also said he looked forward to "amicably raising" his son with Maralee. In February 2022, her rep told E! News that the NBA star has not made any attempt" to meet the child. Tristan has not commented.
In December 2022, multiple outlets reported that the basketball player reached an agreement with Maralee, under which he will pay $9,500 per month in child support while she will have sole custody of Theo.

Child No. 4: Son Tatum Thompson
In August 2022, Tristan and Khloe Kardashian welcomed their second child together, a son.
A source close to the Good American founder told E! News that "the baby was conceived via surrogate before it was revealed to Khloe and the public that Tristan was having a baby with someone else in December [2021]."
In May 2023, it was revealed that the exes' son is named Tatum Thompson.
