Male model Christian Hogue arrested after he was accused of putting man in headlock during dog park altercation

Model Christian Hogue has been charged with aggravated assault by strangulation following an alleged dog park fight.

Hogue is accused of putting a man into a headlock during a physical altercation at the Shelby Dog Park in Nashville, Tennessee in August 2025, TMZ reports. 

A mugshot obtained by the outlet shows the hunky IMG model posing in a picture reminiscent of the famous 'Hot Felon' mugshot. 

The conflict arose after Hogue's dog and the other man's canine began getting aggressive with one another, prosecutors allege in legal documents obtained by the website.

The alleged victim attempted to split the dogs up but then Hogue allegedly grabbed him from behind, threw him to the floor, and put him in a headlock. 

Hogue is said to have claimed he witnessed the man punch his dog with a closed fist numerous times, which the alleged victim refuted.  

The man claimed he had actually grabbed Hogue's dog by the collar in an attempt to stop the canine from biting his own. 

Christian and the alleged victim were both seen with multiple cuts by police officers, the documents state. 

The headlock was also apparently seen by other witnesses. 

The alleged victim claimed his breathing was restricted by Hogue during the headlock and expressed a desire to press charges. 

Hogue was ultimately taken into custody after an arrest warrant was issued and he was hit with a an aggravated assault by strangulation charge.

The charge is a felony in the state of Tennessee, and Hogue is now scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, TMZ reports.  

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Hogue for comment.

Hogue isn't letting the arrest completely weigh him down. 

Amid the legal limbo, he was active on Instagram on Monday - even posting a video describing his 'perfect day' with his dog.  

'Depends on where we are but if we're in Tennessee, it's me, my dog,' he said. 'We're either on a paddle board or out in the lake fishing or we're at a waterfall, sitting back, enjoying the sun together. It's pretty easy.'

Hogue is a successful model whose credits include Abercrombie and Fitch, a steamy fragrance campaign for Davidoff's Cool Water, and even a fashion campaign for outerwear brand Mackage that featured Sofia Richie. 

A profile by The Perfect Man Magazine describes the Portland native as 'a charismatic twenty-eight year old who stands at a statuesque six foot three and resides in Los Angeles, California.'

Hogue boasts over a million followers on Instagram and is represented by DT Model Mgmt, IMG, Elite World Group, and IMD.
