Timothée Chalamet Declares Love for Kylie Jenner in Critics Choice Awards Speech

When Timothée Chalamet decided it was time to address his relationship with Kylie Jenner, he didn't mess around.

No longer content to let their coordinated outfits speaks for themselves, Chalamet not only put a label on their status while accepting his Best Actor win for his performance as a charmingly off-the-rails table tennis player in Marty Supreme at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards Jan. 4, he clarified how long he and Jenner have been together—and used the L-word.

So, for fans who've been keeping up since their first date night sighting in 2023, it was a major, capital-M moment.

"I'll just say thank you to my partner of three years," he said onstage. "Thank you for our foundation. I love you."

The 30-year-old continued, "I couldn't do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much."

"I love you," Jenner mouthed back from their table.

Now that's how you make a debut, albeit three years into a relationship.

Up until basically now, Chalamet wasn't one to publicly declare his feelings, telling Vogue for its December 2025 cover story that he wasn't declining to discuss Jenner, 28, "with any fear." 

Rather, he added, "I just don't have anything to say." (He did say, however, that in the wake of becoming an uncle to sister Pauline Chalamet's first child, having kids "could be on the radar" for him.

In the meantime, Chalamet and Jenner, 28—who's mom to daughter Stormi, 7, and son Aire, 3, with ex-boyfriend Travis Scott—created a narrative all their own no matter where they were, be it at nationally televised sporting events, in the middle of Beyoncé's silvery Renaissance birthday concert in Los Angeles (the site of their first public appearance together in September 2023) or at the Oscars.

"Privacy is so important to me in life," Jenner explained to British Vogue for an August 2024 profile. Which, she noted, "feels so good" to have on her terms for a change.

Not that such a sentiment squelched the public's desire to know more or stopped them from desperately scouring what is visible to the world for clues.

Date night sightings tapered off for awhile when Chalamet got busy playing Bob Dylan in the James Mangold-directed A Complete Unknown, which earned him his second Best Actor Oscar nomination.

Jenner's appearance at the after-party following the film's Dec. 11, 2024, Los Angeles premiere was an indicator that they were still going strong in time for Chalamet to be nominated for a Golden Globe for his Dylan-sanctioned performance.

When a lack of activity got the rumor mill buzzing yet again this summer, even after they vacationed in St. Tropez in July, the Kylie Cosmetics founder made sure to smash that "like" button when Chalamet shared the Marty Supreme trailer on Instagram in August.

And now it's already time for Kylie & Timmy Take Awards Season, Part 3.

They had their second consecutive viral Globes outing last January, featuring sweet moments à deux and Jenner getting a chance to bond with her beau's costars Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro.

The Kardashians star also got to appreciate the comedic stylings of the evening's host Nikki Glaser, who zeroed in on Chalamet for a good-natured riff on his name, featuring a cameo by Adam Sandler.

But with celebrity romances often indecipherable in their early stages, it was unclear at first just how serious Jenner and Chalamet were—or whether they were even more than friends.

Now, however, we've officially reached three years since they were first linked in a romantic fashion (and in regular fashion, as Jenner wore Gaulthier by Chalamet favorite Haider Ackermann to the 2023 Met Gala), and at the 2024 Golden Globes they graduated to the fans-frantically-lip-reading-for-clues stage of their relationship.

So while they didn't bother with any comments or Instagram posts and just let their PDA-packed outings do the talking, they've been full-on dating in public.
