How Kristen Bell Said She’d React to Dax Shepard Losing Golden Globe 2026
Kristen Bell had an unconventional start to her 2026 Golden Globes morning.
The Nobody Wants This star gave fans an inside look at her pre-award show routine—which included using a thong as a hair tie for her workout before leaving the house to get ready.
“When I tell you it was the only option available,” Kristen told her glam team in the video posted to Instagram Jan. 12. “And you know what? I make it work.”
The 45-year-old also had another controversial beauty hack for her pedicure, explaining that she wasn’t going to waste her time painting the toenails that wouldn’t be seen in her red carpet heels.
“You only have to do three of the toes,” Kristen said, “because this does not show in the shoe. That doesn't show. So you only have to do those three.”
The Good Place alum also made sure to grab a quick bite before getting fully dressed, chowing down on a hamburger with French fries.
Kristen then got a bit help slipping into her black, Giorgio Armani Privé gown, which featured a kaleidoscope of colorful sequins on the asymmetrical bodice and a silky, fitted floor length black skirt.
She was then joined by husband Dax Shepard—who opted for a classic black tuxedo—as the two shared a kiss before making their way to the Beverly Hilton hotel for the award show.
And it was a big night for the couple—who are parents to daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11—as they were both nominees: Kristen for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy for Nobody Wants This and Dax for Best Podcast for Armchair Expert.
And while both went home empty handed—Kristen lost to Hacks’ Jean Smart, while Good Hang With Amy Poehler picked up the inaugural podcast award—Kristen was overjoyed by Dax’s nomination.

"I'm a hype man," she told E! News' Justin Sylvester on the red carpet. “My husband and my best friend were nominated for the first-ever podcast category."
As Kristen put it, "I'm going to lose my mind when their category is announced, even if they don't win because I'm so proud of them."
In fact, her entire focus was on Dax and barely on her own category, as she noted, "I'm not even thinking about me."
