K-pop royalty BTS have announced a massive world tour, and Australian fans have definite cause to celebrate.
The Butter hitmakers revealed on Wednesday that they will be traversing the globe on a mammoth 70-plus date tour that will kick off in South Korea in April.
Dubbed 'the biggest global K-pop tour of all time' by Live Nation, the ambitious run will see the five-time Grammy nominees perform across North and South America, Europe, and Asia.
It will be a welcome return to the stage for BTS, who have been on hiatus since 2022, with all members undergoing compulsory South Korean military service.
The hitmakers have not forgotten Australia, either, with Melbourne and Sydney dates pencilled in for February 2027.
While no venues have been confirmed for the Down Under leg, fans have been encouraged to register their interest via a waitlist.
'As one of the first K-pop groups to achieve true global crossover success and shatter attendance and gross records worldwide, BTS continue to redefine what’s possible for the genre with this massive stadium tour,' Live Nation said in a statement.
BTS's label, BigHit Music, officially confirmed the K-pop boyband's comeback in December after all seven members completed their 18-month military service required for all able-bodied male citizens of South Korea.
The group sent their devoted ARMY fanbase an alert through the mail that their four-year hiatus has ended, and their 10th studio album is scheduled to drop on March 20 – less than a month before they embark on their comeback tour
BTS – who range from ages 28 to 32 – included a handwritten letter signed by all, including the rapping leader RM aka Kim Nam-joon.
He wrote: 'Waiting for (this comeback) more than anyone else,' according to Korea Times.
Singer Jimin and rapper J-Hope called 2026 'the year we finally meet again', while rapper Suga (aka Min Yoon-gi) gushed: 'Let's have a joyful year together!'
'In 2026, we'll make even more and even better memories together,' singer V wrote. 'So please look forward to it!'

Singer Jungkook chimed in: 'My heart has always been the same. I'll keep doing my best, just as I always have.'
'I've greeted you as a solo artist over the past two years,' singer Jin wrote.
The sensational septet recorded the new record in July.
'We'll be visiting fans all around the world,' the Bangtan Boys teased during their July 1 livestream via Weverse.
On June 11, Jungkook and Jimin were photographed in Yeoncheon-gun after being discharged from their mandatory military service.
One day earlier, RM and V were also photographed as they were discharged from their mandatory military service in Chuncheon.
Suga was the last member to complete his service on June 21 while Jin and J-Hope finished up their duties back in 2024.
BTS (short for Bangtan Sonyeondan or 'Bulletproof Boy Scouts') have sold more than 40 million records.
They average 24.4million monthly listeners on Spotify but all seven members have reached 2billion streams on the platform as soloists.
