Julia Roberts Gets Standing Ovation At Golden Globes: “I’m Going To Be Impossible For At Least A Week”

Julia Roberts presented one of the final awards of the night at the Golden Globes and received a standing ovation.

The Hollywood star took the stage at the Beverly Hilton and had everyone stand up for her as she was greeted with cheers from the audience.

Some of the stars seen on screen cheering for Roberts were Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Emma Stone, Ethan Hawke, Kate Hudson, Mark Ruffalo, among many others.

“Emma Stone — she’s like, ‘What the hell is going on right now?'” Roberts said on stage as the audience continued to applaud.

After the cheers subsided, Roberts said, “Wow. Thank you! I’m going to be impossible for at least a week. I appreciate that.”

Roberts was nominated in the Actress in a Drama Motion Picture category for her work on the psychological thriller After the Hunt. She shared the category with Tessa Thompson, Eva Victor, Renate Reinsve, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jessica Buckley, who took the award for her work in Hamnet.

“What a great night. What a beautiful night to be an artist,” Roberts said before introducing the nominees for the Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy category. “This is 2026. We’re going straight to the top on this.”

Roberts ultimately presented One Battle After Another with the trophy, with the film winning over Blue Moon, Bugonia, Marty Supreme, No Other Choice, and Nouvelle Vague.
