How Will Arnett Feels About Losing Best Podcast to Ex Amy Poehler

Golden Globes 2026: Celebrity Seating Chart Revealed

Will Arnett can still have a good hang with ex Amy Poehler.

Before Poehler took home the first-ever Golden Globe for Best Podcast Jan. 11, Arnett—married to the Parks and Recreation alum from 2003 before breaking up in 2012—was already predicting her victory.

"Amy's gonna win for sure," Arnett—also nominated for his SmartLess podcast with Sean Hayes and Jason Bateman—told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet. “Of course.”

Bateman wasn’t exactly playing it cool, either. "I literally have a bet with John Krasinski,” he chimed in during the interview, “I'm betting on Amy." (See every star celebrating at the Beverly Hilton here.)

So now, he and Poehler are walking away triumphant

Poehler's Good Hang with Amy Poehler beat out Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, The Mel Robbins Podcast, Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy, NPR’s Up First and, yes, SmartLess.

"I just want to say that I know I am new to this game,” she said after giving boyfriend Joel Lovell a shoutout in her acceptance speech. “I have great respect for this form. I have great respect for all the people that I am nominated with. I’m big fans of all of you, except for NPR, just a bunch of celebs phoning it in. So, try harder."

“This is an attempt to try to make a very rough and unkind world filled with a little bit more love and laughter,” the mom of sons Archie and Abel with Arnett continued. “And laughing with people, not at them. We just have such a good time making it. And thank you so much for letting us make more. Archie and Able I love you.”

And she finished her speech with a message to her parents: “Mom and dad, you can watch the Patriots now.”
