When not writing about her favorite television shows and movies, she can typically be found hanging out with her dog, reading, listening to Taylor Swift, or fangirling about Doctor Who (usually River Song).

Netflix is starting 2026 off with a fresh adaptation of Agatha Christie's Seven Dials. The three-part series premieres January 15. It comes from former Doctor Who showrunner and Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall. Chibnall also executive produces through his company, Imaginary Friends. Suzanne Mackie, Chris Sussman, Chris Sweeney, Andy Stebbing, and James Prichard also executive produce. Prichard represents Agatha Christie Limited as an executive producer on the series. The cast is stacked as Lady Eileen Brent (Mia McKenna Bruce) aims to solve the mystery of what seems to be a practical joke gone wrong. Netflix released its first trailer today, along with a batch of images that give fans their first glimpse at the latest Christie adaptation. Seemingly driven by a lost chance at love, Eileen is determined to solve Gerry Wade's murder, even if it means being a pain in the police's side.

The official synopsis reads:

"England. 1925. At a lavish country house party, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong. It will be up to the unlikeliest of sleuths - the fizzingly inquisitive Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent - to unravel a chilling plot that will change her life, cracking wide open the country house mystery. A witty, epic and fast-paced drama from the Queen Of Crime, Agatha Christie, is brought to life in a thrilling new version for Netflix."

'Seven Dials' Brings Together Big Names for a Big Mystery

The cast also includes Helena Bonham Carter (One Life, Nolly) as Lady Caterham, Martin Freeman (The Responder and Black Panther) as Battle, Corey Mylchreest (Queen Charlotte) as Gerry Wade, Edward Bluemel (Killing Eve, Sex Education) as Jimmy Thesinger, and Nabhaan Rizwan (KAOS) as Ronnie Devereux. The trailer depicts Bonham Carter's Lady Caterham and Eileen as a strong pair, reminiscent of Bonham Carter's role in Netflix's Enola Holmes franchise starring Millie Bobby Brown. The images and trailer depict everything about a Christie novel that makes her work enticing and lasting. From the stubborn and cheeky protagonist, to the lavish parties with the ominous underbelly, to the quieter moments that build the characters' personal development. The series is also penned by Chibnall, and was first announced in 2024. Agatha Christie Limited has been behind the management of the literary and media rights to Agatha Christie’s works since 1955.
