It's anyone's earnings in Industry. Often considered the slow-burn, Gen Z counterpart to the equally merciless HBO series Succession, the show follows young graduates — now employees — as they try to make their mark at the investment bank Pierpoint & Co. However, much like the nature of banking itself, nothing is certain. One day, these yuppies score big earnings on the trading floor; the next, a single misstep could cost them millions of pounds.

Season 3 of Industry ended on a bittersweet note. With the gavel finally knocking on Pierpoint's doomed fate, some see this as a window to new opportunities, while others are heartbroken over the bank's demise. For the ambitious ex-employee Harper Stern (Myha'la), she's utilizing the momentum of the bank's closure to launch her new firm. But for her mentor-turned-nemesis, Eric Tao (Ken Leung), it's the end of his career-defining legacy. With storylines that require tying up, Industry Season 4 needs to answer these questions.

1 Will Harper Stern's New Firm Succeed?

After Industry Season 3, there's no denying that Harper has been through hell and back. Yet, despite the forces that try to pull her down, she repeatedly rises up from the ashes, each time a little more aggressive with her intentions. In the aftermath of her forged academic transcript, Harper is ungraciously fired from Pierpont and is lucky enough to get a job as an assistant at Future Dawn. It's there that she makes a solid impression on Petra Koenig (Sarah Goldberg), who decides to partner with Harper and found the hedge fund-style firm Leviathan Alpha. As Koenig's right-hand woman, Harper finally puts her redemption arc into motion. However, the real satisfaction comes from humiliating her ex-colleagues, Eric and Rishi Ramdani (Sagar Radia) — the people responsible for her departure at Pierpoint.

Known for her high-risk, high-reward mentality, Harper managed to push Leviathan Alpha into the spotlight. The taste of success becomes intoxicating, and with some words of advice from financier Otto Mostyn (Roger Barclay), Harper decides to leave Petra's firm to start an all-shorts investment fund, specifically targeting either corrupt or failing companies. Just like her work ethic, the new venture is a massive gamble, as it relies on predicting the collapse of establishments and striking them when the iron is hot. Those who are desperate might fall for what Harper's selling, but Season 4 of Industry might feature a company that could see what this newly minted CEO is secretly doing from a mile away.

2 Will Eric Tao Work With Harper Stern Again?

Eric can now finally add "Pierpoint & Co. Partner" to his resume — but his happiness is short-lived. For starters, Eric has separated from his wife, leaving him a free agent. The divorce doesn't seem to affect him so much, and he's letting loose by dating women out of his league and doing coke with Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela). Although he still shows up to work after a night of debauchery, Eric slowly loses his composure bit by bit. Being a partner means Eric must now make the hard decisions, which include firing Yasmin and getting humiliated because of Pierpoint's losses with Lumi.

Like the natural-born leader that he is, Eric always brings solutions to the table. But when his former colleague Harper is deadset on ruining him, Eric could feel his power diminish bit by bit. The more he tries to prove he's capable, the more impulsive he becomes. The final straw happens in the Season 3 finale, where Eric betrays Bill and backs the Pierpoint sale to the sovereign Gulf oil traders Al-Miraj. Unfortunately, the Al-Miraj deals meant that Pierpoint had cut off their entire London trading floor, including Eric himself. Unlike Yasmin, he leaves the bank with a whopping $20 million in severance. Now that Eric and Harper seem to be on respectable terms following the Pierpoint collapse, Harper might consider having her former mentor in her arsenal.

3 Is Yasmin Kara-Hanani Happy in Her Marriage?

It's a match made in "heaven" between Yasmin and old British money Henry Muck (Kit Harrington). Yasmin might have enjoyed a life of luxury, but Season 3 shows the swift downfall of this publishing heiress. Following an embezzlement scandal, no thanks to her father, Yasmin is constantly taunted by the British press. It's bad enough that she's the "incapable" nepo baby of Pierpoint — with the unwanted media attention surrounding her and plaguing the trading floor, Yasmin is a walking corporate nightmare. Although Pierpoint global head Bill Adler (Trevor White) wants her gone, Eric decides to use her vulnerability as his tool, twisting her insecurity as he sees fit.

Industry Season 3 also brings Yasmin with Henry's latest venture, Lumi — a green, ethical energy-tech company. However, no amount of performative, environmentally-friendly branding could cover up the company's lack of sustainability and Henry's poor leadership abilities. Long after the tragedy, Yasmin and Henry reunite at the latter's estate. Although Yasmin genuinely loved Robert Spearing (Harry Lawtey), she accepted Henry's impulsive proposal. Whether they love each other is up for debate, but Yasmin believes that her union with Henry is nothing more than a marriage of convenience. The loveless marriage might raise problems in the future, especially with how erratic Henry can be, but Yasmin will do anything to shed her old skin and embrace her new role.

4 How Will Rishi Ramdhani Cope With His Wife's Death?

Rishi's downfall in Season 3 of Industry is nothing short of an Aristotelian tragedy. With a mouth no mother would want to be kissed with, the mid-level Pierpoint trader has a potty mouth that could put sailors to shame. Rishi's inappropriate behavior might've raised alarming concerns from HR, but when he's in the pits of the trading floor, he's the guy who reels in the profits. Rishi's abrasiveness is part of his notorious high-risk, high-reward work approach, making him a stellar but risky employee. Unfortunately, that same mentality doesn't translate well into his family life.

In his Season 3 standalone episode, Rishi is revealed to have a serious gambling addiction, fueled by the adrenaline he gets from work. Unlike his earnings at work, his gambling winnings put Rishi into hundreds of thousands of debt. With his loan shark, Vinay (Asim Chaudhry), expecting repayment, Rishi eventually does get the money. But instead of giving it to Vinay, he folds the money at a casino, wastes it at clubs, and spirals his gambling addiction again — a vicious cycle reminiscent of Howard Ratner's (Adam Sandler) tragedy in Uncut Gems. The Season 3 finale culminates in the consequences of Rishi's hubris: he is humiliated by Harper at what he thought was a job interview at her firm, and Vinay shoots Rishi's wife, Diana (Emily Barber), in his apartment. After everything that's happened, Season 4 might be the right time for Rishi to embark on his redemption arc.

5 Will Harper Stern and Yasmin Kara-Hanani Clash Again?

Work got way too personal in Season 3. Harper and Yasmin's on-again/off-again friendship is the heart of Industry. With Harper and Yasmin now working in different places, one might think that they're now scot-free from professional arguments. However, Season 3 proves to be the opposite. After Harper teams up with Petra to build Leviathan, she makes revenge her number one agenda. The only way to bring down Eric is to tear down the Pierpoint name by attacking their client, Lumi, and humiliating her former mentor at the COP panel in front of hundreds of investors. Unfortunately, this means Yasmin, still working at Pierpoint, has to do massive damage control because of her best friend's blind rage.

Things got heated when Harper brought Yasmin to a meeting with Petra, where Harper manipulated her friend into giving her internal Pierpoint material to trendy ethical investments. The information breach is more than enough reason for Eric to finally fire Yasmin, leaving the now-penniless ex-employee without a job. Yasmin accuses Harper of taking advantage of her during a sensitive period. Harper effectively ends their friendship when she calls Yasmin a "talentless and useless, and a f–king wh–e" — culminating in a physical brawl between the two women. Months later, the now proposed Yasmin calls Harper, asking why she has to RSVP to her wedding. It seems like things have cooled down. They might not be as friendly as before, and if they do cross each other's business paths in the future, the two wouldn't shy away from bringing up old scars.
