Golden Globes 2026: Leonardo DiCaprio Reacts to Nikki Glaser's Jab About Younger Girlfriends

Leonardo DiCaprio isn't departing from his love for Italian cuisine.

During the 2026 Golden Globes Jan. 11, host Nikki Glaser poked fun at the 51-year-old's personal life, taking a jab at his history of dating much younger women.

"Leo, I'm sorry I made that joke, it's cheap, I tried not to," the comedian quipped onstage. "But we don't know anything else about you, man. There's nothing else. I searched. The most in-depth interview you've ever given was in Teen Beat in 1991. Is your favorite food still 'pasta, pasta and more pasta?'"

That quick callout had the internet feeling saucy, with sleuths immediately drawing up the interview like one of Leo's French girls.

As he told Teen Beat at the time, 16-year-old Leo—who was 5-foot-3 and 120 pounds—loved Lord of the Flies, basketball and baseball, Pink Floyd and MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This."

Along with emphasizing that acting was "his first ambition," he added that his favorite actor was Jack Nicholson, his favorite actress was Meg Ryan and his favorite movies were Parenthood and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

But that doesn't mean the Oscar winner didn't have other potential career paths. In fact, he revealed, "In the future, I want to study oceanography." And even back then, he was hoping to keep his carbon footprint to a minimum, noting that his dream car would be "a solar-powered 1982 Jaguar."

His favorite colors were black and purple, while his favorite brand was Nike. He was likely binging The Twilight Zone, which he noted was his favorite TV show, and listening to Harry Connick Jr., his top musician. Though, he noted his favorite music as "reggae [sic], rap and different music from around the world."

And yes, he listed pasta three times when asked about his favorite food.

Which still rings true. After all, when Nikki made the joke, he mouthed "yes" from his table while giving Nikki a thumbs-up.

But was it on the menu at the Globes? Find out by reading on for all the behind-the-scenes pictures…
