Amanda Seyfried Reacts to Husband Thomas Sadoski’s Praise at Critics Choice Awards 2026

Here Amanda Seyfried goes again about her husband.

The Mean Girls alum reacted to her husband Thomas Sadoski’s praise of her acting in The Testament of Ann Lee, for which she’s nominated for Best Actress alongside Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne, Chase Infiniti, Renate Reinsve, and Emma Stone at the 31st annual Critics Choice Awards, airing on E! and USA Jan. 4 at 4:00 p.m. PT.

Indeed, Thomas, in an email to E! News’ Justin Sylvester, referenced parts of Amanda’s performance in the musical with the phrase “which she did brilliantly” seven times, causing her to tout her love for her husband.

“What a sweetheart,” Amanda told E! in an exclusive interview at the Critics Choice Awards,  hosted for the fourth year in a row by Chelsea Handler in Santa Monica, Calif. “Thank you for doing that.”

Beyond Amanda’s appreciation for her husband—with whom she shares an 8-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son—the Housemaid actress shared another one of her loves: Musicals.

“The expression of emotional life through song is just, it enhances every feeling that you have,” she continued. “It just brings you to life in a way, and it brings you in connection to yourself in a way that dialogue might not necessarily be able to do.”

As for which musical movie she most appreciates? Look no further than the 2001 Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor film Moulin Rouge!.

“It was epic to me,” Amanda explained. “Ewan, Nicole and [director] Baz Luhrmann—always Hats off to what he's been able to accomplish.”

In fact, she credits the Great Gatsby director for much of her career.

“He inspired a lot of why I wanted to be an actor,” Amanda added. “From Romeo and Juliet. Yes, I'm a big fan.”

Of course, Amanda wasn’t the only celeb to grace the red carpet at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards. Read on to see all the stars who showed up and showed out.
