Colin Jost is moving to Netflix.
The Saturday Night Live star has officially confirmed that he will host the second season of Pop Culture Jeopardy! after it made a shock move from Amazon to Netflix.
Netflix picked up the second season in October and Jost was in talks to return but those talks have now ended in a signed deal.
The spinoff of the iconic game show comes from Sony Pictures Television’s Game Show Division. Michael Davies, who serves as showrunner of Jeopardy!, exec produces Pop Culture Jeopardy!.
It launched on Amazon in December 2024 as part of a game show block – Winning Wednesdays – that also featured the Travis Kelce-hosted Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?, JB Smoove-fronted Buy It Now and Wish List Games. It will air its second season on Netflix later this year.
Pop Culture Jeopardy! is a new twist on the classic show that originally started in 1964 and features three contestants trying to be experts in categories such as alternative rock, the Avengers, MMA, Broadway, Gen Z and Zendaya. Contestants, playing in teams of three, will compete in a tournament-style event for the grand prize and ultimate bragging rights.
