Chris Hemsworth and billionaire YouTuber MrBeast are roasted after their 'corny' joke video spectacularly falls flat

He is known for his online joke videos.

But famed YouTuber MrBeast - real name Jimmy Donaldson - and Chris Hemsworth were both roasted this week when they posted a cringey prank on social media. 

In the clip, MrBeast pretends to 'fail' to recognise the 42-year-old box office giant as he goes sightseeing at a museum with his fiancée, Thea Booysen. 

'Hey, can we take a photo?' he asks Chris, who happily agrees to pose for a selfie, but then MrBeast knocks him back.

'No, I just want you to take a photo of me and my fiancée,' MrBeast says, pointing to his long-time partner, who is seen standing nearby.

A confused Chris appears to be a little put out before asking: 'So you don't want me in it?' 

'Just take a photo of us,' replies MrBeast as he poses alongside his partner in front of a dinosaur skeleton.

Fans and followers filled the post with their reactions to the video, with many finding the joke clip 'corny'.

'How are we this corny in 2026?' moaned one keyboard warrior, while another agreed: 'Corny.'

A third follower added: 'Nobody laughed.'

Still, some fans applauded the Avengers star for the stunt video.

'Lol! That was cute. He pokes fun [at] himself with the best of em!' one said. 

'Thor felt like an ordinary human being,' another user joked.

This is not the first time the Australian-born Hollywood legend has filmed with MrBeast.

He joined Chris for a workout video in the star's hometown of Byron Bay in 2025, which was posted to YouTube a year ago.

American YouTuber MrBeast rose to fame as an online creator after posting his first video at age 13 in 2012.

Since then, he has amassed 460 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.

As of January 2026, his wealth is estimated to be US$2.6 billion, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
