Carrie Bickmore sparked concern among her followers on Tuesday when she uploaded a selfie of her crying in bed.
The radio host, 45, had bloodshot eyes and mascara running down her cheek in the photo, which appeared to be taken moments after she wiped away her tears.
She said she originally shared the image to her Stories and was 'flooded' with messages from concerned fans.
'Posted this pic to my stories and got flooded with people having bad days too,' she captioned the post.
'So I thought I'd post it here and you can add a 'bad day here too' comment and we can all drown in our flatness together and not feel alone.
'Tomorrow is a new day. (Also how quick did my 'don't mess with me attitude' disappear.) (Also the black mark is mascara running down my face.)xxx.'

Followers flocked to the comments to share support and their own 'bad day' stories, with some of Carrie's famous friends also offering her encouragement.
'Oh no. This made me cry. I feel you. Tomorrow is always a new day. Btw you have the cutest cry face xxx,' Sophie Monk said.
'Stay strong lovely. You got this. Sending you lots of light, love and hugs,' Jelena Dokic added.
Kate Langbroek wrote simply, 'Mia carrita [sic],' while Sally Crinis said: 'Love you xxx.'
Some fans left a string of red heart emojis in the comments.
Meanwhile, others penned encouraging messages for the media personality, like: 'I'm having a bad day too - we got this!'
It would seem Carrie has had a bumpy start to the New Year, as just last week the radio star revealed she had a nasty accident prior to getting a spray tan.
She shared a photo to Instagram last Tuesday which showed her looking down on her luck and sporting a sore looking lump on her forehead.

The wince-worthy injury also featured a small cut at the centre.
Captioning the photo, Carrie revealed she had absent-mindedly collided with a cupboard while getting ready for her spray-tan appointment.
'Bumped my head into the corner of a cupboard 20 minutes before my spray tan,' she wrote.
She saw the funny side of her accident, though, adding, 'Karma for vanity,' and a crying laughing face emoji.
