Brittany Hockley's heart-warming wedding vows have gone viral months after she tied the knot with Benjamin Siegrist – but for all the wrong reasons.
The former Bachelor star, 38, tied the knot with Swiss soccer player Benjamin Siegrist, 33, in a lavish Balinese ceremony in June.
As a special nod to her husband's heritage, Brittany learned German to recite her vows, and shared a clip of the moment to Instagram.
In a subsequent video, uploaded on Friday, Brittany said the original clip went viral, particularly in Germany, but not for the reasons you might expect.
'So, six months ago we got married and I posted a wedding video. I learnt my vows in German because my husband Ben is Swiss-German and I thought it would be really cute to surprise him,' she said in the clip.
'Anyway, I posted the video and it went pretty viral... in Germany so all the comments are German. I never knew what they said but I assumed they were cute.'

Sitting on the couch beside her, Brittany's helpful husband translated a raft of the comments into English, which had Brittany howling with laughter.
'This is comedy gold,' Ben declared before reading out the first comment.
'Somebody said take the mic away,' he read as Brittany laughed loudly.
'Months of learning only to butcher reading one paragraph solid,' another follower commented.
The barbs kept coming thick and fast with disgruntled German speakers offering the likes of, 'That was terrible,' 'It's proper bad,' and: 'I thought she spoke Japanese.'
One suggested that Brittany be 'deported' for her lack of linguistic skills while Ben jumped in with a cutting: 'Somebody wrote, "Goosebumps," but I don't think it's a good one.'
The self-effacing post was met with a flurry of comments from fans with many taking gentle digs at Brittany.
'Dish, lish, tint, and fish. We need the translation on this one is that LOVE in German? Hilarious,' one fan commented.

Brittany replied that she was trying to say: 'I love you big squid.'
One German speaker praised Brittany for her effort, despite the results being hilarious.
'I’m German and remember listening and understanding you but laughing hard because the pronunciation was priceless. You put a new spin on German! It’s a difficult language… so great effort,' they wrote.
It comes after Brittany recently announced that she was relocating to Italy to live with Benjamin.
She confirmed the exciting news in December, telling her Life Uncut co-host Laura Byrne that the move was necessary to spend more quality time with her husband after they trialled a long-distance relationship.
'I am moving to Italy, I am going officially! Ben is like beside himself excited, he just can't wait. I'm really looking forward to the boring stuff,' Brittany began.
'Like watching TV and going for a walk together. The stuff that seems so mundane but we just don't get to do it.'
In a subsequent video, uploaded on Friday, Brittany said that the original clip went viral in Germany, with locals making fun of Brittany's attempt at speaking the language
