Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Share Steamy New Year’s Eve Kiss
Blake Shelton is tired of media speculation buzzing around him and his honeybee.
The former The Voice coach shared his thoughts on ongoing divorce rumors between him and wife Gwen Stefani, as well as why they’ve contributed to his overall distrust of the internet.
“Starting in October, I think, or maybe November, I started noticing these articles popping up about ‘Blake and Gwen, they’re split up,’” Blake, 49, told County Countdown USA in an interview uploaded to YouTube Jan. 10. “‘They’re not even seeing each other anymore, they’re going through a divorce.’ And then, you know, a week later a picture comes out of us walking out of the grocery store: ‘Oh, they’re back together again!’”
He quipped, “And another week goes by and we’re not seen at the grocery store: ‘They’re divorcing!’”
The “Honey Bee” singer—who tied the knot with Gwen, 56, in July 2021—also emphasized how the constant speculation surrounding his relationship has led him to distrust the internet as a whole, specifically due to doctored content of the couple that has circulated.
“I see pictures of Gwen and I on social media that I really go, ‘that looks so real,’” he continued, “But I know I don’t even own that shirt or, ‘Whose car is that?’”
Blake added, “I don’t believe anything anymore that I see on the internet. I mean, nothing. I just don’t believe it.”

But Blake and Gwen—who met in 2014 as coaches on The Voice before splitting from exes Miranda Lambert and Gavis Rossdale, respectively—are no strangers to navigating their marriage in the public eye. After all, the "Hollaback Girl" hitmaker recently opened up about the insecurities she faces in her relationship with the country music star, which inspired the couple’s duet "Purple Irises.”
"I had been going through those times where you're questioning: 'Oh my gosh, am I just getting older? Am I cute?'" Gwen told NYLON in April 2024. "In my own relationship, even though I know the truth of what's happening today, you still create drama in your own mind about your insecurities and what might happen. I was in that phase of the relationship with Blake and getting paranoid."
Even with her periods of self-doubt, Gwen—who shares kids Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 11, with ex Gavin—knows she found her partner for life in Blake.

"The truth is I am in love with my best friend," the “Rich Girl” singer continued, "and all this s--t I'm thinking of in my brain, that's all it is—I'm overthinking."
And while rumors about the couple’s marital status can be bananas (b-a-n-a-n-a-s), Gwen has become a pro at drowning out the chatter.
"But when you're in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us. You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship—I mean, a week ago we were getting divorced again or something," she added. "It's just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is…"

Just people coming to me and telling me their story. Not confiding, but sharing, which has just helped me see things from a different perspective and move forward." —Gwen to Ryan Seacrest in November 2015
