The Berlin Film Festival has unveiled the members of the jury who will join its president Wim Wenders in deciding which of the 22 films in Competition at this year’s edition will take home the Golden and Silver Bears.
They are director and producer Min Bahadur Bham (Nepal), actor Bae Doona (South Korea), director, producer and archivist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur (India), director, screenwriter and producer Reinaldo Marcus Green (USA), director, screenwriter and producer HIKARI (Japan) and producer Ewa Puszczyńska (Poland).
The competition jury will decide the winners of Golden Bear for Best Film (awarded to the film’s producers) as well as Silver Bears for the Grand Jury Prize, Jury Prize, Best Director, Best Leading Performance, Best Supporting Performance, Best Screenplay and Outstanding Artistic Contribution.
Paris, Texas, Wings of Desire and Perfect Days director and long-time Berlinale supporter Wenders was announced as the president of the jury in December.
The festival has also unveiled the members of the other juries across the 2026 selection including for Perspectives competition focused on first features which is in its second edition this year.
Directors Sofia Alaoui (Morocco), Frédéric Hambalek (Germany) and Dorota Lech (Poland / Canada) will decided the winner of the Best First Feature Award, which comes with a 50,000 euros cash prize, and is endowed by Germany’s Society for the Administration of Film and Television Right.
