It was recently revealed that Johnny Knoxville would be reuniting the team for a new addition to his long-running franchise titled Jackass 5, due to be released on June 26. However, what was most shocking was who was returning to appear in the movie, and that is Bam Margera.

As reported in Variety, Margera will be appearing in Jackass 5, but not in new footage, and instead in never-before-seen archival footage. His appearance could signal that things between Knoxville and Margera have cooled after a long feud between the two. Margera was an original cast member but was kicked from Jackass Forever, released in 2022, due to violating a "wellness agreement."

The agreement required regular drug and alcohol tests, which was filed in a lawsuit by Margera and later dropped, stating he was coerced into signing the agreement during his stint in rehab in 2019, and was fired due to testing positive for Adderall, which Margera claims was taken by prescription for a decade.

Since the fallout, Margera has suffered from a variety of health issues and has been in and out of rehab. Knoxville spoke later about his co-star and said, "I love Bam, I want him to get well and stay well. I only want him to get better. That’s the first step. He has to take that step and maintain that step."

Last year, Margera had stated he had no interest in a Jackass reunion after publicly bashing his Jackass co-stars and his time on the series:

"What they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had to go to court over it. You couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another ‘Jackass’ with them. The damage has been done."

Margera was widely known for his time as part of MTV’s Jackass television series and the following three movies. He endured a lot of crazy stunts throughout his time in Jackass, including being branded, being placed in snake pits, shot with rubber bullets, and featuring his parents in crazy pranks.

Jackass 5 was announced by Knoxville and the team on Instagram, stating the franchise would return on June 26, featuring new stunts and archival footage from previous projects that were scrapped.
