AJ McLean's estranged wife Rochelle revealed that she has been hospitalized after suffering from a mysterious 'pain' in her abdomen.
The 48-year-old Backstreet Boys member tied the knot with the hairstylist in 2011 - and the pair share two children Elliott and Lyric.
However in 2023, the pair announced their separation while noting they did not have plans to divorce at the time. Late last year, the singer said the pair are not completely reconciled but are moving 'in the right direction.'
Rochelle, 44, jumped to her Instagram page on Friday to share a selfie as she rested in a hospital bed.
She positively held a thumbs up in the direction of the camera while also wearing a blue hospital gown.
'It's been one hell of week over here!' she began to her followers. 'I came to the ER Tuesday morning with an extremely bloated belly and pain on my right side of my abdomen.'

'It's been one hell of week over here!' she began to her followers. 'I came to the ER Tuesday morning with an extremely bloated belly and pain on my right side of my abdomen'
She chose to go to the emergency room because she initially speculated that it could have possibly been her appendix.
'I ended up showing cecal volvulus in my ct scan. A twisted pinched colon,' Rochelle then shared.
'I basically went straight into surgery after that to have the compromised part of my colon removed and the healthy sections sewn back together again.'
The media personality noted that she had 'never even heard' about the serious condition before.
Rochelle then emphasized the importance of 'listening to your body when something doesn't feel right.
'Had this gone on longer and untreated, the outcome could have been very different. Hoping I get to go home this evening! Take care of yourselves out there.'
In conclusion, she also gave a special shout out to the doctors and medical staff that helped her.
'And also… A big thank you to the surgeons, drs and nurses who have taken such great care of me this week! My hero's.'

McLean and Rochelle said 'I do' in 2011 but announced their shock split in 2023 after 12 years of marriage at the time.
The estranged couple told TMZ that they planned 'work on themselves' and did not have plans to divorce.
'Marriage is hard, but worth it. We have mutually decided to separate temporarily to work on ourselves, and on our marriage with the hope of building a stronger future,' the performer had told the outlet.
McLean further said that the separation is only temporary and 'the plan is to come back together and continue to nurture our love for one another, and our family.'
The statement had concluded with, 'Separation is hard enough without the commentary, please be kind and remember there are children involved.'
But then in early 2024, McLean and Rochelle revealed that they had come to the decision to 'officially end our marriage.'
'Our focus now is moving forward in the healthiest way possible with friendship and co-parenting our girls at the forefront of this next chapter,' the pair said in a joint statement on Instagram.

McLean jumped to the comment section to reply with, 'I love you all so much. It wouldn't have been the same if my girls weren't there to kick off this amazing residency! ❤️❤️.'
