Bachelorette’s Emily Maynard Is Going to Be a Grandma, Daughter Ricki Expecting Baby
Ricki Hendrick has a special rose to give out.
The daughter of former Bachelorette star Emily Maynard Johnson and late race car driver Ricky Hendrick has given birth to her first child, a baby girl named Romi.
In a Jan. 23 Instagram post, the 20-year-old shared a black-and-white photo from moments after delivery where her face was nuzzled up to the newborn, who had been swaddled. Ricki also included a pic of her mom Emily and stepdad Tyler Johnson holding the baby and staring lovingly into her eyes.
Commemorating her daughter’s birthday, Ricki simply captioned the post, “Best day ever.”
The influencer—who hasn’t shared the identity of her baby’s father—revealed that she named her baby Romi by updating her Instagram profile to read, “romis mom.”
While Ricki is certainly celebrating the arrival of her daughter, she had been candid about her difficult road to delivery day and the uncomfortable symptoms she experienced throughout her pregnancy, which she announced back in August.
“Guys. Being pregnant is miserable,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories in November. “I woke up at 2 for no reason, threw up 30 mins later, fell back asleep, woke up at 3:45, threw up again, fell BACK ASLEEP, WOKE UP AGAIN, THROWING UP NOW BC I’M HUNGRY, but ofc I can’t eat anything bc it will prolong the cycle.”
And this was a regular occurrence, too, as she added, “This happens almost daily.”
Despite the discomfort though, Ricki made sure to keep her excitement up, even when it felt like the pregnancy was dragging on.

“Everyone was right, the last few weeks are the longest,” she continued on her Stories. “I’m so excited to see her not on an ultrasound screen.”
Meanwhile, Emily—also mom to kids Jennings Tyler, 10, Gibson Kyle, 9, Gatlin Avery, 7, Magnolia Belle, 5, and Jones West, 3, with Tyler—shared her excitement about becoming a grandmother by cheekily responding to one user’s comments about Ricki having a “baby outside of marriage.”
“Very against it,” Emily said with a smile on her daughter’s Instagram Stories in September, feigning disapproval. “I cannot believe anybody would ever do that—unforgivable.”
