Sophie Monk has landed a prestigious radio gig on KIIS FM's Will & Woody national drive-time show.

The network confirmed on Friday that the actress and Love Island Australia host, 46, will take Will McMahon's spot during his upcoming paternity leave.

Will and Woody announced the move live on air, amidst news of a shakeup at the rival Nova network, which will see the Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Ritchie show move to the national drive-time slot.

The trio's breakfast show will be replaced by a new program – Ricki-Lee & Tim – hosted by Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell, formerly the hosts of Nova's Drive show, alongside Joel Creasey.

Meanwhile, Will, who is expecting his second child with his wife Sam 'any minute', is stepping down from his show after welcoming the newborn.

‘I’m so excited to be helping out while babies are being made, so Will can take time to enjoy this special chapter with his family,' Sophie joked in a statement.

'It’s such a great show, and I’ve been hanging to be back on KIIS with Will, Woody and their listeners.'

KIIS FM listeners are already familiar with Sophie after the TV veteran has served multiple stints as a fill-in host for Jackie 'O' Henderson on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Will and Woody welcomed Sophie in a statement.

'Sophie is an absolute superstar, and we’re so pumped to have her join the show while Will’s spending some special time with his new bub,' they said.

KIIS FM's rival Nova was rocked by a major reshuffle of its top talent on Friday, with the overhaul representing one of the most significant line-up changes the network has enacted in years.

So far, it is not immediately clear what role former drive-time host Joel Creasey will have after the network announced the creation of a new breakfast program Ricki-Lee & Tim.

As Ricki-Lee and Tim prepare for their new early morning gig Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald, Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli and Kate Ritchie discussed their shift into a national Drive timeslot.

'After 15 years of doing this breakfast radio show, the Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie show, they have finally completed their apprenticeship, and they're going to be graduating to the national drive-time position,' Wippa said.

'4-6pm around Australia on the country's best Radio Network, Nova. There it is, guys!'

Fitzy added: 'Now, I know there's probably a lot of people freaking out thinking that we were going to leave. We're not. This is not a goodbye at all.'

'This is the evolution of the show. We've been doing this for 15 years, and we have an amazing audience. We cannot do this without you, but we've been dropping you and the kids off at school every morning, but now we're just going to be driving you home in the afternoon.'

'It's as simple as that, and the show will be Fitzy, Wippa, and Kate. One condition that we made, Wippa and I, was if we're going to do this show, Kate Ritchie doesn't get two names,' he joked.

Not missing a beat, Kate quipped: 'Well, Kate Ritchie's not being dropped from the show! And I think that's because I finally learned how to spell my name, so I don't need to see it on the side of buses.'

Fitzy added: 'I'm so proud of what we've achieved with our audience in Sydney over the past 15 years, but equally excited to open up to our national family.'

The changes will take place on Monday, February 9, 2026.
