Image via Disney+Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.
For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things Bosch, Mission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.
He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.
His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.

Even though Andor has officially come to a close, the Star Wars galaxy has never been shy about revisiting compelling characters — and Stellan Skarsgård isn’t ruling anything out. Collider’s Aidan Kelley recently caught up with Skarsgård at the Palm Springs Film Festival, where the actor was asked whether he’d entertain the idea of a Luthen Rael-focused spin-off should Andor creator Tony Gilroy come calling. Skarsgård’s answer was candid, thoughtful, and deeply revealing about how much respect he has for Gilroy — and for the series itself. He told Kelley:
“I don't know, but, Luthen Rael is dead, but I think that Tony, anything Tony Gilroy comes and shows me, I will definitely take seriously, because he's a brilliant, brilliant writer. And I think that this Andor series, it must have been probably the best in the Star Wars ever.”
It’s high praise, but not an unexpected sentiment. Andor has been widely hailed as one of the most mature, politically grounded, and emotionally devastating entries in the Star Wars canon. It's a series that deliberately shifts the spotlight away from Force-wielding legends and toward the ordinary people whose sacrifices make rebellion possible. Skarsgård’s comments reinforce what many fans already feel: while Luthen’s story may be finished on-screen, the creative trust between actor and showrunner remains very much alive. And in a franchise known for finding new angles on old sacrifices, that door — however slightly — remains cracked.
How Good Is 'Andor'?
Image via LucasfilmIt's a masterpiece, and that's not an overstatement. It is, quite simply, the best Star Wars project since The Empire Strikes Back. Need more proof? Check out this excerpt from Maggie Lovitt's review, where she describes it as "nine hours of the best Star Wars you will ever watch". She wrote:
"Gilroy has maintained that he wanted Andor to feel “timeless,” and yet he has managed to deliver a season of television that has never been more timely. Season 2 deals with hard-hitting topics like propaganda being used to manipulate apathy towards genocide, as well as the mass deportation and incarceration of undocumented, itinerant workers. While topical, the relevancy speaks to the nature of authoritarian regimes playing by the same playbooks throughout history.
Andor Season 1 set high expectations for where the series' final installment could go, and somehow, Season 2 exceeds those expectations at every turn. The only flaw in the entire series is the fact that it’s over now."
Andor is on Disney+ now in its entirety. Stay tuned at Collider for further Star Wars updates and more from the Palm Springs Film Festival.
