Series Mania winner A Better Man is among the titles set to battle it out for the Nordic Series Script Award this month.

Joining the Norwegian series in the category are Secrets We Keep from Denmark, Queen of Fucking Everything from Finland, Vigdis from Iceland and My Brother from Sweden.

The winner will received NOK200,000 ($20,000) and the prize at the The Nordic Series Awards, which are held as part of the Göteborg Film Festival’s annual TV Drama Vision event. The awards celebrate excellence in Nordic television drama and are financed presented by the Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

Different to previous years, the Nordic Series Script Award will go to the main writer or writers of each series, all which premiered in 2025. The writers comprise A Better Man‘s Thomas Seeberg Torjussen, Secrets We Keep‘s Ingeborg Topsøe, Queen of Fucking Everything‘s Tiina Lymi, Vigdis‘ Ágústa M. Ólafsdóttir and Björg Magnúsdóttir, and My Brother‘s Karin Arrhenius.

The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on January 27. The Nordic Series Script Award jury comprises Norwegain actress Agnes Kittelsen, Danish film and TV reviewer Nanna Frank Rasmussen and Henning Kamm, executive producer and Managing Director, Real Film from Germany.

“Since no productions happen without the visions and skills of Nordic creators and writers, each year we want to shed extra spotlight to the talents behind outstanding drama series – one from each Nordic country,” said Liselott Forsman, CEO at Nordisk Film & TV Fond. “I want to thank the selected writers for their inspiring work, Göteborg Film Festival for our good collaboration and our international jury for accepting the challenging task of selecting the Nordic winner.”
