3 Body Problem season 2's release window has now been confirmed after years of radio silence. Based on the book series by author Liu Cixin, the Netflix series hails from creators David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo and hit the service in March 2024, with a renewal for seasons 2 and 3 following several months later.

After production on seasons 2 and 3 got underway last year, Netflix now confirms that 3 Body Problem season 2 will arrive at some point in 2026. Though a specific date or month hasn't yet been revealed, this new window means the series will likely return more than two years after its premiere.
