Coming off a hot year in 2025 for Deadpool with the DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool crossover, the launch of the Meta Quest 3/3S-exclusive Marvel’s Deadpool VR, and a new ongoing Deadpool/Wolverine comic, 2026 is slated to be even greater for Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth. Assisted in no small part by Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool movies, the bombastic and absurdist character has quickly risen to become highly recurring and popular across many media.
Deadpool is infinitely entertaining due to him hardly conforming to whatever storytelling confines he’s in. Likewise, it’s fun to see Deadpool in video games, comic books, and movies alike because it’s endlessly fascinating to see how he’ll behave or what different mediums can achieve or get away with creatively. Based on everything Deadpool already has scheduled for 2026, it’s certain to be a year when Marvel popular culture is dominated by the regenerating degenerate.
Deadpool is About to Enjoy a Big 2026
Not every Deadpool appearance is known or confirmed, but they include the following:
- Deadpool arrives in Marvel Rivals Season 6 as a playable character on January 16.
- A new Deadpool ongoing comic book series, dubbed Wade Wilson: Deadpool, releases on February 11.
- 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of Tim Miller’s Deadpool movie.
- Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will reportedly be in Avengers: Doomsday.
- Though not confirmed or rumored, it’s possible that Deadpool could cameo in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Wolverine game.
Deadpool Will Soon Be Everywhere
As early as next week, Deadpool is kicking off 2026 with a major feature as Marvel Rivals’ newest roster character, and it’s still undetermined whether he’ll be a Vanguard, Duelist, or Strategist (the icon on Deadpool’s roster portrait continues to change, as well, as a playful meta joke from the developers). Next month, a new ongoing comic series called Wade Wilson: Deadpool will be released only a day before the 26th anniversary of Deadpool (2016).
Later this year, Deadpool is returning for his second MCU installment via Avengers: Doomsday. And lastly, given the two characters’ relationship and dynamic, Deadpool cameoing in Marvel’s Wolverine would be fantastic, though that’s not guaranteed.
Deadpool invading every corner of Marvel media in 2026 is sure to be a delight, especially with every appearance or feature being a unique iteration of the character. It’ll be interesting to see if he can be dynamic enough to make each one worthwhile.
