Adam Blevins began working in the entertainment industry in 2022 as a Staff Writer for Agents of Fandom, where he progressed to Senior Editor and interviewed talent from Marvel Studios, House of the Dragon, and Planet of the Apes. He joined Collider as a News Author in April 2024, was promoted to a Senior position in December 2024, and has written over 3,000 articles for the site, including exclusives relating to Avengers: Doomsday, The Penguin, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and more. He primarily writes about the latest box office numbers and the hottest movies and TV shows on streaming, while also covering superhero and sci-fi news. He has completed a set visit for The Chosen and even has several months of experience writing Gaming Features at ScreenRant. You can find him on X, LinkedIn, and Muckrack.

As her erotic thriller The Housemaid steams up theaters, Amanda Seyfried's forgotten sci-fi thriller In Time is trending on streaming. Seyfried stars alongside Justin Timberlake (The Social Network) and Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) in the cyber thriller. It is set in a future where people stop aging at 25, yet are only engineered to live one more year — unless you can buy your way out. In Time recently began streaming on Peacock in America, where it’s become one of the top 10 most popular movies on the platform at the time of writing.

Both critics and audiences alike were extremely harsh on In Time when it was first released in 2011. The film earned equally rotten scores of 36% from critics and 51% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, but it didn’t struggle under the weight of these poor reviews at the box office. In Time cost only $40 million to make — quite low compared to the budget of some modern sci-fi epics — but the film grossed over $170 million at the global box office. In Time also features Olivia Wilde as Rachel Salas, the mother of Will Salas (Timberlake).

Andrew Niccol wrote the script for In Time, and he stepped behind the camera to direct the film. Niccol is best known for directing Good Kill, the R-rated war thriller starring Ethan Hawke that’s currently streaming on Paramount+. He most recently helmed Anon, the 2018 Netflix original cyber thriller starring Clive Owen and Afiya Bennett. He’s also working with Nicolas Cage on a sequel to their 2005 film, Lords of War.

What's Next for the Stars of 'In Time'?

Seyfried can currently be seen in theaters alongside Sydney Sweeney and Brandon Sklenar in The Housemaid. She is also receiving some awards buzz for her performance in The Testament of Ann Lee. Seyfried's In Time costar, Cillian Murphy, meanwhile, will next be seen in the Peaky Blinders movie, The Immortal Man, which will be released in select theaters on March 6. This comes two weeks before its global Netflix debut, which will be on March 20. The film is set years after the events of the original series, and it follows Tommy Shelby (Murphy) as he returns to Birmingham during the height of WWII. Stephen Graham and Sophie Rundle are returning in The Immortal Man as Hayden Stagg and Ada Thorne, and the film has also cast major newcomers like Rebecca Ferguson and Barry Keoghan. Tom Harper is directing with a script from Peaky Blinders' creator Steven Knight.

Be sure to check out In Time on Peacock, and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.
